Al Ahli Group to open Little Manila resto in Middle East
Al Ahli Holding Group (AAHG), a Dubai-based multi-billion conglomerate, has housed six food and beverage brands in the Philippines in one restaurant Little Manila after securing exclusive franchise of these brands.
In a press conference here Thursday, AAHG Director Abdullah Mahmood disclosed that Little Manila will be composed of Filipino food and beverage companies including Binalot, Jay-J’s, Fruitas, Zagu, Fiftea, and Mochi Crème.
He said AAHG will open the first Little Manila restaurant in Dubai Outlet Mall, which is also owned by AAHG, by October this year.
The company, Mahmood added, aims to open 20 Little Manila restaurants in the Middle East over five years.
Little Manila will initially target the 2.5 million Filipino expatriates in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region which include countries of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.
“AAHG has chosen some of the best Filipino food and beverage brands for Little Manila to bring the popular cuisine from Philippines, to cater not only to the vast Filipino expat community, but also to those eager to explore the different gastronomic delights throughout the United Arab Emirates and in different international markets,” AAHG Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Khammas noted.
