EMGAS announces partnership with Al Ahli Group

DUBAI: Emirates Gas (EMGAS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), on Sunday announced a new partnership with Al Ahli Group, a multi-disciplined organisation with a portfolio of around 30 companies. Through the newly formed agreement, EMGAS will set up a dedicated CNG Daughter Station at Al Ahli Group to supply the organisation’s fleet with natural gas (CNG).

The agreement was signed in the presence of Zaid Abdul Rahman Alqufaidi, Managing Director, Enoc Marketing; Nader Al Fardan, Director of Enoc Industrial Products Marketing; Ali Mohammed Saeed Mujsaim, Chairman, Al Ahli Group and Adel Noori Jaber, Managing Partner, Al Ahli Group at Enoc headquarters in Dubai, UAE.

This partnership will also facilitate Al Ahli Group in converting a fleet of approximately 450 vehicles to use an environmentally friendly compressed natural gas by the end of this year.

Alqufaidi commented on this new announcement: “We are glad to have announced this collaboration and are pleased to join forces with a highly respected organisation such as Al Ahli Group. This is an opportunity that showcases our commitment to implementing best practices and protecting the environment. EMGAS has always been recognised as a socially responsible corporate citizen. Our commitment to supporting the environment and upholding the welfare of the community is a key contributor to the success of our business operations.”

A big testament to their commitment in that field is the company winning the CSR Label Award from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry for a span of five straight years (2011-2015), reiterating its outstanding contribution to promoting Corporate Social Responsibility ideals that make a difference to the community and the environment.

Adel Noori Jaber, said: “Supporting the environment and ensuring the well-being of our residents is definitely the most important aspect of our new partnership. We look forward to working with an organisation that puts a strong emphasis on CSR practices. This will undoubtedly allow us to utilise a more environmentally friendly fuel alternative to ensure reduction in exhaust gas emissions.”
